Snuffed Pilot Light

Once I moved up two flights of stairs
Yeah... With the woman of my dreams
We lived with a dog and two cats
Forever ago - now it seems
We got married at a courthouse
and slowly drove each other nuts
And our fights might last half an hour
Where we'd chew out each other's butts

We were living for the weekends
On a Dollar Tree type budget
Could not tell you how we made it
But it's nothing I'll soon forget
Forever is not long enough
and the reaper's never bluffed
It's been tough living without her
since someone's pilot light's been snuffed
