Kiss & Tell

She was sandwiched between her car
and ME leaning in for a kiss
That night up against her fender
in a few moments of pure bliss
We were under the moon and stars
and aglow by the neon lights
Well after the place had emptied
and the highlight of both our nights

In our embrace - time seemed to freeze
as the universe spun its tale
Our lips met in a tender dance
as our inhibitions set sail
The world around us went away
leaving just her and I alone
Beneath the twinkling stars above
beyond what the atmosphere shown

We were lost in each others arms
and consumed by want and desire
The awkwardness just washed away
Our nervousness set to expire
With voices soft as a light wind
we both exposed our intentions
Our hormones out on full display
expanding out in new dimensions

And though the night came to a close
we’d split in our own direction
Left with the taste of our French kiss
The opposite of rejection
This would have been our second date
but we’ve known each other a while
Driving home I was caught in a daze
with a reason behind my smile
