Time, Again
just a while ago the world was a blur
a relentless race
as i tried to catch up to its speed
now the time came to a halt
the clock barely ticks and the days stretch out
as i get trapped between
pulling away from its strains to flee
and clinging desperately to sink in
all of a lather to step out
and when i hardly slip away
the world's a blur once again
while i finally gasp for air
only to scramble after
time, again
a relentless race
as i tried to catch up to its speed
now the time came to a halt
the clock barely ticks and the days stretch out
as i get trapped between
pulling away from its strains to flee
and clinging desperately to sink in
all of a lather to step out
and when i hardly slip away
the world's a blur once again
while i finally gasp for air
only to scramble after
time, again
