Something along those lines…yes. It is about how the aftermath of a past relationship can complicate future relationships. The scars of the past are sometimes just not meant to be shared with others; regardless of how intimate a new relationship becomes. That fact, in and of itself can introduce complications and difficulties for the other person.

You have intellectually mused the sweetest calling of melancholy in such a timeless passion I am sure it can be felt over an ocean and kissed by the sands of times, this is so beautiful to the senses to just close your eyes and feel the vibration of it such mesmerizing emotional sound.

Whoever those words are serenaded unto I truly hope she can appreciate the tenderness of your heart to have written a collage veiled in a whispered embrace.

I have been studying the Billy Joel catalog over the past several months ever since the release of his new song back in February. It is uncanny how he can extract emotion or a feeling, and then breath them into life within the framework of his art. Sometimes, so easy to relate to his expression; relative to your own life experiences. Just the melody of the opening piano keys played, are chilling and simply says everything that is heartfelt before he even begins to sing. I will say the words of my poem pale in comparison to this song, in my attempt to express the heartfelt feelings. I can only relate.

Of a different matter, on today is Father’s Day. And so, I hope you are able to celebrate your father on today.
