Mumbling fools

An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. Will leave us mumbling and damaged.

It's a common phrase, usually meaning revenge isn't always worth it. It could most probably make things worse if you ever want to seek repairing that same relationship. It's not always in reference to the romantic side of forming bonds. But can definitely apply to casual relationships with friends and family in some cases.

Revenge isn't always worth it. Sure, it feels good to indulge in a impulsive thought and get that feeling of temporary justification during the moment. Sometimes it's just best to disengage, put the energy into improving relationships in the future and take it as a lesson learned.

Most people repeat history when they know nothing else, maybe it's time to learn and break those cycles.

I'm here to be a lurker primarily but here's a thought I've had on how people operate during conflicts.
