Bittersweet
First kisses are bittersweet.
Anxiety and desire meet,
The temptation charged,
Pairs of hearts enlarged.
Oh and the taste, it lingers,
Count the minutes on your fingers,
Because you’re in love,
A set of bonded doves.
To redo my first kiss,
It’s all I’ll ever wish,
The memory turns sour,
I held regret by the hour.
Relations not solidified,
Forced to say goodbye,
But now, I feel free,
As our love was not meant to be.
God, that kiss was bittersweet.
Anxiety and desire meet,
The temptation charged,
Pairs of hearts enlarged.
Oh and the taste, it lingers,
Count the minutes on your fingers,
Because you’re in love,
A set of bonded doves.
To redo my first kiss,
It’s all I’ll ever wish,
The memory turns sour,
I held regret by the hour.
Relations not solidified,
Forced to say goodbye,
But now, I feel free,
As our love was not meant to be.
God, that kiss was bittersweet.
