To Be a Dog in This Society

I'd like to be a dog in this society,
with eyes that sparkle with curiosity,
strolling the streets with no rush or worry,
finding joy in each nook and story.

Without the burdens humans bear,
just the wind, the earth, and sky to care.
My tail would be my best expression,
wagging with love and no suppression.

To sleep beneath an old oak's shade,
with just a noble bone to trade.
The moon would be my faithful friend,
in nights of dreams without end.

To sniff life with pure devotion,
each scent a new and sweet emotion.
A world without judgment or expectation,
just loyalty and peace, a true sensation.

I'd like to be a dog in this society,
where simplicity holds the key to propriety.
Living the moment with serene clarity,
and finding happiness in pure sincerity.
