One More Hug
I saw my dad today
He came in the form of a dream
Somewhere in a snowy landscape
Wrapped in his mailman winter jacket
I looked around at my surroundings
Snow falling heavy from the sky
I see buildings and cars on a street block
He was about to enter the building next to me
When we locked eyes
I ran around the cars piled with inches of snow
Right into his open arms
I look up and see his smiling face and feel the weight of his arms around me
We exchange no words but I can tell he's happy to see me
I would have thought it just a normal dream
If I hadn't broke down the night before
Crying
And wishing for one more hug
He came in the form of a dream
Somewhere in a snowy landscape
Wrapped in his mailman winter jacket
I looked around at my surroundings
Snow falling heavy from the sky
I see buildings and cars on a street block
He was about to enter the building next to me
When we locked eyes
I ran around the cars piled with inches of snow
Right into his open arms
I look up and see his smiling face and feel the weight of his arms around me
We exchange no words but I can tell he's happy to see me
I would have thought it just a normal dream
If I hadn't broke down the night before
Crying
And wishing for one more hug
