Unbridled Tongue

I've took the blame for things I didn't do.
Ive stood in silence while accusations flew.
Ive cried in disbelief while my reputation grew

To the size of an unbridled tounge.

I've garnered frowns from folks I didn't know
Held out my hand to brothers bearing stones
I've been found guilty in a court of whispering foes, all because...an unbridled tongue.

It can mame, it can lame, it can even take a life
Cut off wings of a dream, where the dreamer don't even try to fly.
It's just as dangerous as any loaded gun, oh the lips, of an unbridled tongue.
