Seduction
A master of seduction,
She rounds the corner
With a slightly unsteady gait,
As though three drinks in
Down at the corner bar
But she’s fully sober,
Quick-witted and calculating,
A minx of masterful guile
Attired in one of my dress shirts,
Almost a dress on her,
A few buttons purposefully
Left undone,
And smooth caramel legs left bare
She brushes her hair
Up past her ear
With her hand halfway
In the long sleeve
Knowing full well
She could make any request of me
And score a win
She opens her mouth as if to speak
And closes it
Giving me only a slightly smirking smile
(Building further
Her chance of success)
She walks behind me
Grabbing my shoulders
And standing up tiptoe to
Almost whisper in my ear:
‘Do you have plans?’
‘I don’t know. Do I?’
I can feel her smiling
‘Follow me…’
She pirouettes
Ensuring the shirt rises just enough
For a preview of luscious curves
And skips just out of arms reach
I take a step and
We begin a slow chase,
She steps away with each step I take,
The blessed tease,
And leads on down the hallway
Toward a room of cool white sheets,
Warm sun and springtime scents
She backs her calves against the bed
And wears a deliciously devious expression:
‘The wolf corners the bunny…’
I take hold of the shirt,
Towering over her,
And say gently:
‘What happens to the bunny?’
She bites her lip:
‘She gets eaten…’
She rounds the corner
With a slightly unsteady gait,
As though three drinks in
Down at the corner bar
But she’s fully sober,
Quick-witted and calculating,
A minx of masterful guile
Attired in one of my dress shirts,
