Taking a step outside the four walls can be difficult. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, take a deep breath and propel yourself out the door.

You could always call up a past lover, but I don't recommend it. Usually entirely too complicated and never worth the emotional damage.

I have loads (and loads and loads...) of experience in this area. If you need suggestions, I have ideas that...never mind. I recommend keeping it legal, it's much easier to explain.

I dig the honesty of your thoughts, my friend. Keeping things real is something a lot of people are incapable of. Wishing you nothing but the best.

I flirt with it on occasion.  Attend the odd event, but just can't (or maybe not intrigued enough) to ever get beyond the surface pleasantries.  I've become quite comfortable in being single after so long being  part of a pair.  But I guess I will just follow those moods when they guide me out the door.

There is temptation to consider some past lovers, but probably wouldn't happen and again, the imagination vs the reality would probably win.

The only thing I'll say about comfortability is that it can become a cage. I wouldn't want that for anyone.

It seems to be about finding that right balance.  It is good to step from the cage and experience what life has to offer.

I didn't see it as preaching, more encouraging to step out from those comforts and live a little.

Us writers do need need stimulation which inevitably might work its way into a write here and there.

It's natural to reminisce over bygone weekends, especially as you appear only to live for them, from what I've read of yours. I personally don't really live for any day, having not a regular 9 to 5 job. Maybe I live for everyday. I don't know. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. 😊

I don't necessarily live for them, though that work week conveniently forces the issue that with that earned free time, one must capitalize.  Every now and again though, unfortunately in that world of comparative thinking, it is easy to hark back to those days when there was much crammed into them to great satisfaction and inebriation in some cases.  I could enjoy an unexpected lift, no matter the day.  Thanks for commenting.  I do see the point that the real confinement comes the constructs of that 9-5 sacrifice.
