Knuckle-dragger Rampage

One chess game teaches ramifications    
and yet we continue to pollute    
with every counterproductive commute    
in our ecologic relations    
since we are the apes who refuse to learn    
beyond our personal advantage  
and all of the progress we mismanage    
into a declining maelstrom churn    
of an ever baneful Charybdis mash    
no doubt to be soon set aglow someday    
by waves of radioactive decay    
long smoking like a global calabash    
because the anger of Earth's apex ape    
preempted sapience from taking shape.
