Image for the poem What’s the conversation.

What’s the conversation.

Your eyes have me mesmerised, I feel like I have dropped into the depths of the bluest ocean. Seeing everything it has to offer for the first time.

When you smile your eyes light up just as the moon does in the darkness. You attract and I can’t help but stare and get lost in your eyes and wonder what’s behind them. You on the inside I just can’t work out this equation.

So, I remain silent in admiration, eyes that speak a thousand words without a single syllable. A silent language, conveyed by oval shaped sapphires and framed with black sweeping eye lashes. I imagine they are your vowels and consonants and I wonder what  the conversation is. As I stand completely transfixed, I am unable to utter a single sound as my eyes meet yours.
