Mother Knows

Mother
Do you know what you’ve done
Did you see what you did
Was all for fun
Was he really worth it

Would he come back now
When he took his due
Was the night for him
Or did he care for you

Daughter
Mother please don’t cry
I know what I’ve done
I chose him well
He is really the one

He loves me true
This I swear to you
When the sun will rise
He’ll be standing before you

Mother
Her heart did break
Her sweet little one
Gave all her love
And she knew he was gone

Never to return
 She knew this well
Not long ago
It was her in
Under this spell

(Needless to say, mother was right on that day)
