Words Hurt

Actions always have consequences    
So please think before you do    
Because pain at my emotional expense    
Shouldn't be resulting from you    
   
You also don't know what I hear    
So think twice before you speak    
Otherwise my death could be nearer    
From your inflammatory critique    
   
You haven't walked in my shoes    
Or even once felt my pain    
I don't want your mental abuse    
I'm just here trying to stay sane    
   
You may try to make the biggest splash    
But I feel the ripples from your current    
With your attitude and behavior so brash    
Even the smallest of your words hurt
