The Lady Blue (For The Love)
Gary was sitting at the desk in his office at the Lady Blue when I entered it. He rose immediately and quickly approached me. He lifted my left hand and held it between both of his hands ,looking at me intensely.
"I'm thrilled you came tonight," he said, his beautiful blue eyes dancing as he lifted my hand and gently kissed it.
"You wanted to hear me sing. I know."
"You were magnificent. Your voice is even more beautiful than your mother's was and she was fabulous. She was everyone's favorite singer at here at the time.
"I could never live up to a legend such as her."
"Not true, Babe, you have outdone her by miles."
"Then I can consider my audition successful?
"And then some. I'd be a fool not to hire you."
"Merci!" I exclaimed unable to hold back my excitement. I was jaw-dropped thinking of being with Gary every night while I sang.
"I would be pleased to sing for you!'I said trembling with excitement now.
I hugged him then out of sheer gratitude and felt him hold me tight against him.
"It's settled then," he replied gently releasing me. At that point, I half expected him to say good night and show me out. Instead, he took a step backwards and looked at me with both admiration and lust.
"It would be a wonderful opportunity for you and a way I can keep you near me."
I could see Gary 's body tremble as he drew close to me, cupped my face in his hands and looked directly at me.
I was sure then that he would try to kiss me and I could barely wait.
It felt so wonderful to feel his lips brush over my own lips.
"You have the kind of face a person would kill for," he then kissed me passionately. It finally was happening. Gary kissed me over and over the way a woman should be kissed. When he finally released me he said with a touch of sadness on his face, "There just isn't a right way to a wrong thing is there?"
"It feels so good to be with you! How could it be wrong? Tell me how, Gary.
"You've grown up to become a beautiful woman both inside and out. I don't think you know just how beautiful you are, Babe."
"I know you're still married and it's wrong to want you. The truth is that I love you and I always have. How could it be wrong?"
"A person can't help who they fall in love with. It's hard for a man when he's in love with a woman he can't have."
" Mais, you're not in love with me "
"The hell I'm not. I do love you,"
