Image for the poem Don

Don't Let It Galvanize

The rhetoric of
your excuses
transposed a frailty of fortitude
to the disposition
of
decadent
distraction;

the embers of my soul
were ashen with the
magnanimous motives which
yours embarked
to destroy mine.

sweet lies from
vermilion lips fracturing asunder
the reality of
this bards’ quill….

Amethyst tears fall
to parchment;
the atomic dragon
poised upon zephyrs – the archetype
of a soul assassin,
cold and capricious.

the re-deciphering of
a hollow cosmos is
waiting for an unknown echo
to venture forth from the void

Ensconced until the numinous
harbors aspirations of
balance.....of truth
