Burnt Canary

In the inky nighty veil, blood curdling screams,
Red and black, the colors of death's themes.
Once united, me and you
now torn apart, your fingers,
like claws, rip my heart.

Trusted you, in the light of day,
Now shattered, a million pieces stray.
Fire and smoke, burning flesh's pain,
In ashes, I dwell, in bitter disdain.

I am the Burning Canary, choked by despair,
Retribution's shadow, let me collect my debt.
From the powdery ashes, rises my call,
In flames of vengeance, I stand tall.

I AM THE BURNTCANARY
