How am I?
When you ask me how I am,
I could tell you a lot,
I'll say I'm fine,
Although I'm not.
I could tell you,
How I cry at night,
And how every waking moment,
Is an endless fight.
How I slit my wrist,
To be sure of my humanity,
How I don't know who I am,
I've lost my sanity.
How I can't cope,
With the pain,
How I cry for help,
But its only in vain.
How theres one that can save me,
But she doesn't care,
How she ignores me,
My heart it does tear.
How there are voices,
Always whispering in my ear,
How everyday,
I live in fear.
I will tell you none of this,
I will paint on a smile,
And continue to live,
At least for a while.
I could tell you a lot,
I'll say I'm fine,
Although I'm not.
I could tell you,
How I cry at night,
And how every waking moment,
Is an endless fight.
How I slit my wrist,
To be sure of my humanity,
How I don't know who I am,
I've lost my sanity.
How I can't cope,
With the pain,
How I cry for help,
But its only in vain.
How theres one that can save me,
But she doesn't care,
How she ignores me,
My heart it does tear.
How there are voices,
Always whispering in my ear,
How everyday,
I live in fear.
I will tell you none of this,
I will paint on a smile,
And continue to live,
At least for a while.
