Your Love: A Poem For My Mom
Your love is like an angel,
Encasing our family in your wings,
And often we are tangled,
In the silly mess of things…
But we’re in it together!
Your love is like an angel,
Protecting us in your embrace.
So go ahead and fly!
Above the whole human race.
But let’s fly together!
Your love is like an angel,
And I love you as much (if not more.)
And although it might be dangerous,
I love you to the core.
But let’s fight this battle together!

I'm sorry to hear that... I've never really had this kind of experience with my dad, he was always a little abusive and that severed my connection with him when I was young... I still see him, because I'm forced to, because my parents are divorced and have joint custody, but I don;t really connect with him...
