Many frames are empty
memories seem to disappear
not much more to create
isolation is what I fear
Journey decades back
this wasn't the case
family and friends fulfilled my life
was in a much happier place
Now I'm old & tired
watching the days move by
not much more to live for
passing the time, waiting to die

I agree with Debbie - all of it.
But this also made me very sad. I’m watching my father do this. He’s 80 years old. I don’t want to do this when I’m 80 or 110. I never want to live my life like I’m dying, even if I am.

It's sad when a loved one goes through this. Hopefully you keep busy never lose the spark that keeps us alive.

Thank you for the kind words. There are many many people who live like this towards the end of their lives. It's sad. You don't want this to happen for yourself, but you don't know what the future holds.

Such truth in this, sadly. It can be so difficult to reflect on the past and the memories tied to it, if currently in that isolating present.
