The Wise Old Tree
I was walking down the lake.
Mascara dripping down my face.
And a white dress covered in lace.
The lake was my comfort place.
Where I can calm down in a comfortable pace.
Beside me,was a wise,old tree.
It looked old,but not that old to me.
It had gold leaves, branches, small and big.
And its crown was lit by the sun.
I felt a sense of comfort, and no need to run from anything.
I sat beside the tree and looked up at the sky.
I told myself I'm sad.
And the tree asked me, ""Why?"'.
I told him and shared my woes.
And the tree smiled at me.
An old tree was all I could see.
But I knew that's where I wanted to be.
The tree's wisdom set me free.
The tree told me, ""Hush ,my child."".
And it felt like a warm hug.
It told me, ""Everything will be okay!"".
I hadn't been told that in a while.
And it soon made me smile.
When I was sad,I came to the tree.
With its wisdom, from my woes,it set me free.
I knew the tree would decay one day.
But it won't be soon.
I think of its wisdom and watch the moon.
Because in my memories,it shall live forever.
And even when away,we'll always be together.
The tree got weaker overtime,I watched it grow.
As a kid,the time went really slow.
Now I'm all grown up.
Yet I remember the wise, old tree.
By its wisdom,i was set free.
Its leaves were made of gold.
And over the years,it collected mold.
I shared the tree's story with my friends.
And we all managed to remember and make amends.
Its roots,deep underground.
And soon, the tree's golden crown was found.
It passed onto me.
And I'll soon set you free.
Mascara dripping down my face.
