she smiled too quickly
she smiled
too quickly
at me,
catching me
momentarily
off guard,
which
strikes me
as odd,
eyes
rolled upward,
minutes later
the drama
lovingly dressed,
covered
by petitions,
each photo
lifted, stroked,
i turned
to kiss
this strange
woman,
her smile
had drifted
away
from me,
covering
herself with
the crowd.
