Echoes of Conformity
In our quest to belong, we mold ourselves,
Yet the mirror reflects our fractured souls.
The crowd chants familiar refrains,
Their voices mere echoes of borrowed tales.
We stitch our masks, thread by thread,
Yearning for acceptance, for a place to dwell.
But the seams strain, revealing the truth:
We wear borrowed skins, ill-fitting and worn.
Each step echoes the footsteps before,
A dance choreographed by unseen hands.
The weight of conformity presses down,
And we wonder if liberation lies beyond.
Yet, in this shared struggle, we find solace,
For we are not alone in our silent rebellion.
The shame dissipates, replaced by resilience,
As we reclaim our voices, our colors, our selves.
Yet the mirror reflects our fractured souls.
The crowd chants familiar refrains,
Their voices mere echoes of borrowed tales.
We stitch our masks, thread by thread,
Yearning for acceptance, for a place to dwell.
But the seams strain, revealing the truth:
We wear borrowed skins, ill-fitting and worn.
Each step echoes the footsteps before,
A dance choreographed by unseen hands.
The weight of conformity presses down,
And we wonder if liberation lies beyond.
Yet, in this shared struggle, we find solace,
For we are not alone in our silent rebellion.
The shame dissipates, replaced by resilience,
As we reclaim our voices, our colors, our selves.
