What matters

Night descends, a curtain swift and sure,
Sooner with each passing, closing day's door.
And we, too, find ourselves in a relentless dive,
Further and further through the fabric of time.

What is yours and what is mine,
In this tangled dance, our lives intertwine.
Bound by threads unseen, delicate and fine,
We share our breaths, our moments divine.

Life unfurls as this grand, intricate game,
A journey of trials, joys, losses, and fame.
Time, the grandest illusion, a trickster in flight,
Crafting shadows and dreams in the waning light.

Fate and Destiny, concepts lofty and grand,
Unproven, they hover over sea and land.
Yet they steer our course with an invisible hand,
Guiding, defying, as we make our stand.

I exist, a singular note in the symphony of the universe,
You are there, another melody, diverse.
We are together, a chorus resounding across the sky,
In the end, what else truly matters, and why?

We are woven from the same cosmic thread,
A tapestry of existence, eternally spread.
In the grand scheme, it's the connections we cherish,
The love, the memories, the legacy we bequeath.

So let night fall, let us tumble through time,
For what is yours and what is mine,
Is less important than the bond we share,
In this great game of life, what truly matters is that we care.
