Steadfast friend

Sweetheart, oh Sweetheart,
of silver sheen,
we've sailed the city
and chased a dream.

Five years together
in miles untold,
your purr,
a tale of two manifold.

Streetlights dance
on your darling chrome dress,
each avenue a kiss
sweet boulevards caress.

We've chased the sunrise,
we've felt the rain,
seen lovers laugh,
felt abandoned in pain.

Your leather whispers
parked secrets kept,
our laughter shared,
driven tears unwept.

From neon nights
to morning's hush,
you've been my heaven,
my loyal rush.

So here's to you,
my steadfast friend,
may our journeys
never end.

With every tunnel
and expressway we take,
Sweetheart,
toll and memory, you'll awake.
