I Fucked Up . . .
She said, "Love is a hard thing".
Somewhere between golfing and gardening.
Or relationship bargaining.
But she was still down for a hard swing.
Flowers she would pick like guitar strings.
For a real good whiff of how life behind par seems.
I hope she never even thinks about departing.
Before it's time for the theft of a hard thing.
Wondered why she always had dark dreams.
Never understood that she was down,
'cause of some long gone sharp scene.
Heard it all on the way from the art scene.
Around the time that i arrived,
she tried to have her mind cleaned.
She's not mean, just not a fan of arguing.
Life on ice, falling hard, more like a novice, it seems.
Hard times, tryna fly 'em like dark wings.
Drew a heart, then split it in half.
The picture that she brought wouldn't fit in the cab.
Full of pain, trying her best not to live in the past.
I'm sorry, i just really wish that i could bring us back.
Failed to protect my girl, now i feel like such an ass.
And that was it. Fits. Tantrums.
Random , Hello then goodbye, a world gone missing...
And I'll spare you the details.
Dinner is ceviche out of seashells.
Annoyed 'cause her date really can't speak well.
But she was forced to press on like Lee nails.
She was done at the same moment that the tea fell.
A thick wool jacket on a cool night,
unimpressed by poems or the moonlight.
Doesn't satisfy like a game of pool might.
Thinking, if i had another chance, could i make it right?".
Tune right out of that school life.
Soon as reality became a camera crew and a boom mic.
So what don't you like?
She said, "Absurd last words from Kim, i just don't wanna fight".
And then left her like the shine when the sun is done.
In this state, i'm howling like wolves with the knowledge that i fucked up.
Stop to watch flows have an unpaid session about the lives of the untouched.
She really needs to check in.
'Cause i wanna go and apologize to my best friend.
New heart to put her chest in. Love, life, or death in...
