Five a Day .
How do you talk to the darkness when it’s your only companion, but you desperately don’t want to partake in conversation. It’s moved in upstairs and down and it surrounds you with silent decapitation. It’s taken your thoughts and your head it’s gone and now it’s going for your legs. Thing is you can’t run to the outside coz you’re boxed in by a traitorous dictator. Never kind but more of antagonistic demeanour which sits and rules in in complete invisibility of a hierarchy of nothingness and guilt tripping over anxiety and holding on in fear not allowing any scope. It doesn’t worship laughter or hope and takes you down a slippy sliding slope when you know you are falling so you have no choice but to speak to the creep.
You are not my friend you don’t complete me but deplete me and make me crawl on all fours, so I believe I am not worth a ten. You are not my only confident I have just knocked on next door and they were home. Dancing freely to a tune of double chords of choice. One step closer to accepting my weaknesses. I am not very good at making lifelong friendships but there is so much more than just one. I need my five a day as they say variety is the spice of life . It’s not all hot or cold it’s an in between that lays ghosts down and allows life to begin to breathe and rise .
