Invisible Scars
Seeing places and knowing people
Worldly faces and exploring ripples
The good, the bad and the blatant indifference
Life is a collection of scars
Invisible scars are left imprinted on our minds and souls
Some a physical bend, a visible reminder
Some a spiritual mend, a mental revolver
I have invisible scars
"An eye for an eye" ?
Well, now, "A scar for a scar"
There are similar battles
But definitely different wars
I cannot express in words, the amount of scars I have acquired
I can, however, say not all were desired
The things and the people
The smiles and the tears
An invisible scar for each and of which I hold dear
No one sees my struggles, nor do they understand my pain
No one perceives my stress, daily duress, which i hide and detain
These are my invisible scars
Only I and God know the story behind every scar
Each unique, some very bizarre
The blue-gray bruises and my deepest secrets withheld
My inner Judas silenced, not a word can he tell
My experiences make me who I am
No matter the disappointments or the accomplishments
Not the contradictions or the misconceptions
Nor the promises; the lies
I am an Invisible Scar left upon Life's fragments
Full of blemishes and thus scarred for life.
