Determining worth and value. Finding the best deal is good for buying a car or going to Costco... If dealing with interpersonal relationships, I want premium—the highest quality there is, period . Settling or even bargaining for less than, in the that aspect of my life, is no longer part of my lexicon. The only bargaining I want to partake in is the do's and don'ts of how we play. That exchange of power; deciding how much I'm able to offer him, of my sweet delicious pain/ecstasy...before I'm unable to stop myself from screaming out our safe word...

No fair: You read between the lines.
I do wonder if we set our sights above what is humanly possible.
And even so, maybe only angelic is the logical choice.
Are We willing to forgo 99% because it's not megalithic?
Are short bursts of nearly there worthy of mention or attention?
Life is short. Aesthetics and principle and expectations and fantasy....
Substance vs. The Matrix.
Would you rather have an hour of everything you want or ten years of not so bad?
Is getting our game on for a split second worth it just to know it?
For me, knowing someone intimately is not a loss, not a less than, not a bartering below standard. I'm not compromising myself by my exchanging intimacy with another human being....mutual content, desire, consideration, and intimate respect.
It may or may not ever come. Therein lies the compromise.
Is it all or nothing? Do we arrive there after steep and personal costs? Is loss so great potentially?
Is the gain so profound?
Is this a game we play to secure our delusion?
Is swimming in the deep end more than we can manage?
Are we ready for what we want?
