Red

I see red when I see you
When you are in my vicinity
I elude the unkind words
The sorrow that you�ve given me

I see red from the others
The friends that we once shared
Those people by our side
In the short time that you cared

I see red when I remember
The lies that I believed
In your web filled with deception
You made promises to deceive

I see red when I close my eyes
In the nightmares I create
In a world once filled with hope
You replaced with eternal hate

I see red when I am lonely
When I slice away the pain
With each layer of my skin
Drive out feelings that remain
