Memory
Funny how once you've loved someone
And let them go
It's almost like you never even knew them at all;
Their memory is a long-forgotten song
Alive only in the depths of your subconscious
Until one day, you remember why it was stuck in your head
In the first place-
And you realize that even though they're not a part of your life anymore
They still manifest in every aspect of your being.
And let them go
It's almost like you never even knew them at all;
Their memory is a long-forgotten song
Alive only in the depths of your subconscious
Until one day, you remember why it was stuck in your head
In the first place-
And you realize that even though they're not a part of your life anymore
They still manifest in every aspect of your being.

A beautiful expression on the nature of love...we leave pieces of ourselves & take pieces of them with us. Evolution of sorts. Welcome to the Underground!

I so resonate with this. It reminds me of something I wrote today. Excellently expressed.
