caressed by light beams from afar
the Sun a glowing anode star
touched by sunlight from the Moon

winter's rains go on and on
liquid luscious raindrops' song
on the roof it's pitter patter
river dancing chatter chatter

like the seagulls in the morning
waking to whatever's dawning
squawking, squealing off they fly
flap and glide while passing by...

springtime's looming once again
every year it's much the same
heather's blooming by the road
snowdrops ready to explode

daylight's growing, nighttime fades
shadows sink into the shades
disappearing as the Sun

cosmic lover of the Earth
