Love Letter from Joseph

January 26, 2024
Lauryn,

I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the love we share. We're not naïve. We see our pasts littered with mistakes and missteps. I want you to know that my love for you is unconditional, a force that transcends the errors of yesterday.

You know this about me by now. I've taken love from many women not because it would be lasting or right but because it was easy. Yours, however, is a love that is right. You guide me to a better version of myself. I've wandered down paths of convenience, mistaking physical connection for love, only to realize that true love demands more. It demands the authenticity and depth that your love effortlessly provides.

Lauryn, I want you to be the recipient of the love I've yearned to give, the love that stands firm in its commitment to lift a woman toward happiness. I want to love you unconditionally, for the rest of our lives, learning from our pasts and creating a future where love is not just easy but eternally right.

With all my love,
Joseph

Author's Note
Joseph left this on my bedside table recently. Since he doesn't know much about my writing outlet, I'll share it here. It really complicates that conflict I'm feeling over David and my ability to commit to one man. I keep staring at this photo and thinking what might be.
