Sunlight
It was early morning.
During a cold winter day.
I was inside my home.
Drinking a cup of hot chocolate for my own.
As I took a sip,I looked out the window.
I got up from sitting next to the fireplace.
Outside ,I saw my friend Willow.
And I greeted her with a wave.
I looked closer,and expected snow.
It was raining, cold weather, temperature was low.
Everywhere were puddles.
Made by drops of bliss.
I listened to the laughter and chatter.
The smell of fresh rain was something I missed.
As the drops falling on the roof melodically fall and hiss.
As if the raindrops were talking to eachother.
I listened to the laughter and chatter.
As if time no longer mattered.
The raindrops fell and scattered in puddles.
Giving eachother light cuddles.
I took my jacket,I took my hat.
And my floral umbrella.
I walked out,as rain hit and fell on my shield.
Bringing a sweet aroma in the field.
Not letting any of the plants wilt.
As peace is all I ever felt.
The sound calms me down and makes me melt.
The sun then came out and clouds peeled away.
And the rain got lighter.
The weather,warmer.
As the sun caressed all the flower petals.
Smiling in its embrace.
As the sun shined upon my face.
And the sunrays danced in grace.
Doing the role in nature, that sun plays.
Brightening up the entire place.
And giving life to the whole race.
The sun, going down in a slow pace.
And the next day, repeating its ways.
The sun shines, children begin to play.
It gets warmer and you begin to sway.
Drinking mint tea on a cold day, walking down the pathway.
Feeling fresh,feeling new.
Walking down the south avenue.
And going on with my day.
