Lines of coping
Oh, tragedy, why do you grin so wide?
Why do you mock my tears and make me chide?
Why do you trap me in this endless ride?
Why can't you leave me alone and let me slide?
Oh, agony, why do you stain my joy?
Why do you cut my flesh and make me toy?
Why do you haunt me like a ghostly ploy?
Why can't you spare me from your cruel employ?
Oh, happily, I see the end is near.
I hear the silence calling loud and clear.
I feel the peace that I have longed to hear.
You're finally letting me go without fear.
With rhymes and rhythms, I cope with my fate,
Even now I am joking,
for someone who is jumping.
For death, I smile with glee.
