Old Grudges running wild

In the rearview mirror, old tales unfold,
You wield the past, a story retold.
Nursing a grudge, it's a dangerous game,
Our love caught in its relentless flame.

Lost, my love, in this tangled mess,
I've said sorry, hoping to confess.
But if this saga goes on, takes hold,
Our love story might just run cold.

Author's Note
In the verses above, I explore the intricate dynamics of old grudges, a theme that echoes through the rearview mirror of relationships. The past, like a persistent ghost, resurfaces, and the narrative unfolds with the weight of tales gone by. The protagonist grapples with the weaponized past, a story continuously revisited.

Nursing a grudge is depicted as a perilous game, one that engulfs our love in its relentless flame. The emotional landscape becomes a tangled mess, where apologies are offered in the hope of confession, yet the saga persists, threatening to seize the warmth from our love story.

This poetic reflection delves into the consequences of holding onto grievances, suggesting that the unresolved past has the potential to chill the present.
