Because I Want You

Because I Want You

I lean
into the depth
of being,

wanting
what will give
itself,

pull in,
and not hold back.

1000 images
flashcard
mesmerize,

and
I pass them by
as merely
more
of the same.

And then,
darkness
and silhouette,

eyes
that shadow burn,

your face
falls
across my chest,

because
I want you.
