Sleep awakens
from glassy shards
that once were my eyes
 
ponds of Aphrodite
where humans
may once yet awaken
 
o necromantic shade
night my knight
the sound and scents
speak
my name
 
then a body
that falls slowly
psychotic vertigo
 
bird body
that trembles
in a rare strange frenzy
 
unexpected weight
of empty days
and dry eyes
