A Palette Of Colours Of The Everyday

Brown velvet curtain forests
Green rollerblind hills
Grey linoleum skies
White cliff window sills

A red brick setting sun
Black smoking chimney smog
Silver droplets tapwater rain
Purple leather boots, llost in the fog

Gold fish swimming within a glass bowl
Blue birds caged sweet serenade
Yellow Daffodils wind blown aeolian trumpets
Whilst verdigris butterflies fan this beautiful parade

A palette of colours
Of the everyday
Vanish into the thick of the night
As they swish, and sway, and gently fade away
