A Dark Pool

Clouded shrouded clouds
Throngs without songs
Windswept withered, and weathered
In lines of disdain
Eyes as dark as an eclypse
Pupils like dying stars
Hooded eyelids
Like blinkers
Hands gnarled, and worn
Ramshackled tattered, and torn
Hair resembling old rope
And an optimism without any hope
Lost, and forlorn
Full of scorn
There is no grace
Etched within each line of their face
Death
Their only friend
An ambiguous friend
