Crinkled paper

I'm faling
Love is like ink

It's there and bold
Stunning

My heart was paper
And on the corner

I wrote his name
Happily ever after

No
Not at all

He tugged
In the end it ripped

My fragile heart
Torn

The rain
It cried for me

The old ink
Staining the blank page

After a while I realized
Crinkled in my hand

Was a broken heart
And I held it close

Clutching for protection
Desperate

Crumbling what was left
Into nothingness

Almost
Leaving perminate imperfections

Worn down by time
Scared for life

...
...

Forgiven
Like a morning dew

Soft signs of life arise
When love comes around

Sweeping me with content
Embracing what little I had to offer

Cherishing all my qualities
With adoration and affection

Giving my heart
A new page
