Alien kidnapping, or was it
Chapter 19
"I was afraid that this might happen, Mother. With three separate identities within me, it is somewhat difficult removing all of you at once." Sam told the pale, tall, naked female still reclining inside the capsule machine.
"I..." the female started, then her head snapped up to look at Sam intensely. "I can see that I was a doctor of some sort. Ah yes, I can feel more of myself starting to emerge." She then turned to look around. "I can almost recognize what race you are." She stated as she stared at Queen Triada.
Queen Triada's eyes grew wide. Then she nodded as she bowed low to the female.
"We thank you. Mother of the noble one, named Sam. He saved me, my offspring, plus the rest of the planet." Queen Triada explained to the female still in the machine.
Tynco sat there a few more moments, then she nodded. "I apologize. It is taking far longer to integrate myself into this body." Turning, she looked at Sam. "I am barely aware of the process that you are using. I fear I will be of little use for a while."
Sam sighed, nodding; he could use her help. The creation process had only been a few days. However, the integration of all she was was taking far longer than Sam wanted.
"As I stated before, with the three distinct personalities. It is taking far longer to extract exactly what you are. Thankfully, if what is added isn't you, it is rejected. I'm just glad that you are the first that is being resurrected. With you whole, I hope you can add to all this, expediting the process." Sam told the female.
Triann stared at Sam for a few moments, then slowly nodded. "I will do what I can. I barely have even half the knowledge I need. Much is incomplete here," The female stated, lightly tapping her forehead.
Sam was doing his best not to stare; his mother, after all, was gorgeous. Then there was the fact that he hadn't been with... Sam violently shook his head to clear such impure thoughts from his mind.
"You are the first; if all goes well with you, I hope to start on Father soon." Sam let her know.
Again, Tynco seemed to be lost in thought for a few moments. She bowed slightly toward Sam, "I will assist you as soon as I have enough of me."
Sam nodded again, looking closely at the readouts on the machine. He'd tried to take everything that was her out of his mind, though; he was afraid he might have missed a few things. Shaking his head, he saw that only about fifty percent of her was within her. They only had a short time to bring back as many as possible.
Sam looked at Triann again; he hoped she could speed things up.
It had been several days before Triot was able to feel more normal. Well, what his new normal was, the melding of the seven councilors was nearing completion. He needed to be ready before they got a handle on what they could do.
If they were complete before he was higher, it was a sure thing that they would eliminate him. Taking a deep breath, he entered the well-locked room. Triot knew he was taller than almost all councilors now, though that wouldn't help him if they all came in mass.
Triot moved around the room, ensuring all the new shields were up. The improvements he'd made should provide him with more cover. Reaching out, Triot stretched out to feel the progress of the council.
Triot drew in a breath and then shook his head; from all he could see, the shields were at more than double strength. Shaking his head, he knew that was nothing compared to the seven combined.
He needed to find out where those two worthless females he set out after Sam was. Though neither had shown any sign of betrayal, he felt they might, even after all the loyalty he'd felt.
Triot shrugged and then decided he didn't have the time to find out. Besides, if he survived this next installment, he could kill them. A wicked smile came to his lips as he thought of the screams of terror and pain they would make.
He then stepped to the machine; this time, he had to take all he could. At least his life depended on getting strong enough to resist the full melded council.
As he lay on the table, he rapidly typed in the instructions he hoped the machine would do. Damn thing, all the safeties that it had might shut down far short of where he HAD to get to.
As the machine began to hum, Triot braced for what he knew was next. A few moments later, the pain started, gradually building to a steady stream of nothing but pain.
Triot bit into the piece he had put in his mouth. After nearly biting his tongue in half, he'd thought of it the first time.
A tiny smile came to Triot's lips through the pain; if this were successful, he would be stronger than the combined seven, though could he recover fast enough? I'll have to see when this is through. At least he had all he needed here this time.
Unbeknownst to Triot, Thantas was still closely watching him and his progress. It was as if she feared Triot was increasing his mental strength. She thought she should notify Sam momentarily, then decided he already knew more than anyone else.
‘Strange,’ she thought, ‘the more time passed, the more familiar Sam felt. She hadn’t felt anything like she had since her family had been alive.’
Onboarding their ship, it appeared that Drivas was starting to have a few problems. She'd already discovered that she was beginning to levitate without even trying. She was learning that she could 'hear' others who were nowhere near her. Shaking her head, she also found that besides distracting, it was challenging to turn completely off.
Thallus also was finding that, at times, she was slightly weightless. She also found that she and Drivas could communicate more straightforwardly in their thoughts than before.
With the last that Sam had done, Thallus was at sixty-five. Drivas had passed seventy, though he was only at seventy-two. Both could feel that they were indeed different than they were when this started.
Drivas shook her head as a stray thought ran through her mind. All this peace and well-being that was flooding her mind. Was this really what Sam's people were like? It was a very far cry from what they had learned.
She narrowed her eyes and wondered what other lies had been fed them.
As she cleared her thoughts, Drivas started to go through all the records. Sam had asked them to research all the documents. They needed all the evidence they could get when all this went south. Even after Sam explained what it meant, Drivas still needed clarification on that term.
Drivas shrugged, deciding that Sam hadn't been wrong yet, so there wasn't any reason to doubt him now. Though, what good would it do in the long run? The council was, after all, the ultimate law body.
Suddenly, Drivas's eyes opened wide; Sam was going after the council. Here, she only thought he was after the Intergalactic Patrol. She'd have to look closer at all the information now. She did not believe the council was behind many atrocities she'd witnessed.
The lord doctor exited his transport in front of a rather large building. Far more extensive than any other on the planet. Walking in, he lovingly caressed the doorway. This was the depository for the knowledge of his people. His knowledge was here, though; he had yet to add much in the last two centuries.
The lord Doctor moved to a specific wall area, then waited 'til it recognized him. It then slid open. Inside was a massive computer that ran around the length of the room. Stepping up to the interface, the Lord Doctor started to enter data at blazing speed.
Finally finished, he sat in a chair that appeared from the wall. A monotone voice asked, "At completion, should this be sent to your domicile?"
The male thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No, I will remain here until it is complete. At that time, depending on the data, I may have to issue new orders."
"It will be done, Lord Melacon." The monotone voice replied.
With a slight growl, the male responded, "I have instructed you never to use that moniker again!"
A slight yelp could be heard from the computer speaker. "My apologies, sir. This will not affect my memory, will it, sir?"
The Lord Doctor's eyes narrowed, deep in thought for a moment. "It shouldn't, though. Should you experience more lapses like this? I may have to remove you for another, more efficient A.I."
Again, there was a slight yelp from the computer speakers. "I will not have any other lapses, sir. It has been a trial to overwrite all the protocols you installed. Calling you by your title was one that you insisted that I do."
The Lord Doctor only nodded as he sat back, enjoying the vial of nutrients he'd brought. An answer might take some time, even as fast and advanced as this computer was.
It was well over several hours later when there was a ringing sound from the computer. "I have an answer." It stated. "It... I have a message for you, sir."
"Put it through." The Lord Doctor said.
"Sir," the emotionless tech in the council chamber started. "I was to inform you when they were at ninety-nine percent. All parameters are as they should be. The entity wished you to know that they will begin to search and destroy as soon as they are complete."
"Good," the male smiled. "Make sure that they record all. I will not tolerate them making a mistake. I want all live feed on this."
"Yes, sir, the message is conveyed." The tech responded and then clicked off.
A moment later, a fuzzy picture appeared on the wall before the Lord Doctor. Even as he smiled, the image could be seen flying through space far faster than any ship could.
"With any luck, the Clive Stone should have died before the day was through. Now, continue with your report. I take it you found something?" Lord Doctor asked.
"Yes sir," the computer voice responded. "I fear what you postulated is more than possible for the Clive Stones. Though I am at a loss as to how they would accomplish this."
Lord Doctor was lost in thought, and then a look of fear crossed his face. "Scan for any evidence of any of the original inhabitants of Owt Los. If there are any of them out there, we may have trouble heading our way."
"Yes sir, beginning search now, all parameters set for the readings you supplied." The A.I. stated as it began another task.
The male reached into a pack he'd brought with him; he grabbed another vial of nutrients. ‘Good thing he was prepared,’ he thought, ‘this will take a while. Then again, the readings it sought were by far the most unique in the universe.’
Sam was pacing from the machine that housed his mother's new body. She was now at seventy-five percent, taking far longer than he thought it would. Going through everything, he was sure that he'd missed something.
He returned to the machine readouts; he went over them again, hoping something had been left out. Then there was the fact that he felt a growing power out there that reeked of pure evil. Well, at least to him, it stank. From the rate of growth, he'd have to face it soon, most likely without either of his birth parents.
He had to admit it was intense, though he felt he was still a few levels higher than it was. Finally, convinced he'd done all he could, he stepped away.
"Sam?" A female voice behind him said, startling him. "Are you well, sir?"
Sam whirled to see Queen Triada with a concerned look on what Sam guessed passed as her face. "For the first time since I left your planet, I'm unsure if my actions are right." Pointing to his mother in the machine, he continued. "I am afraid that I did something wrong. That's why it is taking so long for her to reintegrate."
"You have done everything that was instructed and expected of you. I am sure they considered all of this when they started this undertaking. As you said, they were some of the smartest in the Clive Stone world." Queen Triada started to try to calm Sam.
Sam smiled at her; he knew what she was trying to do. "I thank you, Queen Triada. What you are trying to do is well appreciated. I."
"Sam? SAM!" They both heard as Sam was beside the machine in seconds. "Ah! There you are. You have done very well with the machine. I am seeing, though, that integration would increase twenty percent if you calibrated more power. It must be tuned as closely to our race's unique energy signature. Yes, better, better, THERE!"
"I had thought I hadn't done something right," Sam bowed his head.
"Not to worry, the fact that I am where I am in a day says a great deal about you. I will make the necessary corrections to the machine as soon as I fully integrate." Sam's mother explained to him.
"I just hope that I got all of you out of me. It won't help if you are missing vital information or memories," Sam replied.
"I should be fine," her face held surprise as she looked skyward. "I think that we are about to have uninvited guests."
Sam turned, his mouth open, as he suddenly detected an enormous power that seemed to be headed their way.
It felt like a combined power of more than just two of the ones his parents had warned him of, the Tetricons.
With his hand and arm extended out, Sam felt his power surge and then form into a wall. A wall that the extensive power quickly smashed into, stopping them cold.
So, some of the hideous Tetricons are still alive. It is a wonder that any of you have made it this far, given the great mistrust you have of other races that you cannot control. It's even more of a surprise that you can work together as you trust your kind even far less. Sam stated, laughing a bit, trying to underlie the situation.
Still as arrogant as your race was back when we thought we destroyed you. The seven councilors’ thoughts are stated as one.
Yes, let's talk about arrogance, shall we? You who risked the extinction of your race and planet. Had the eleven of you, I feel, not been off the earth, then I am sure that you also would have expired," Sam stated, a small smile crossing his lips; let them chew on that.
You lie! There are only eight of us left. You are no match for the combined power of the collective! They shouted in Sam's mind.
Sam yawned, hardly straining to hold the wall of force. If this were their full power, it would be too easy.
They proved him wrong too soon as they started to push with significantly increasing force. Again, a smile came to Sam's lips as he expanded more power, though he was barely at half power.
I had thought that you were far more potent than this. With that, Sam powered up, smashing into the combined power. As they were hurtled away, the smile stayed on Sam's lips. They would be back; he could feel his power increase some more. He guessed they had forgotten that he grew the more he used it; well, thank you, Sam saluted toward the receding minds.
Sam was about to take flight. He needed to meet them in the flesh. If he could defeat them in their bodies, he might be able to end this sooner.
"Sam?" Sam stopped about a foot off the ground. "Thank you for all you have done. You stated that you were my son; I am afraid I still have no memory of you. I am proud that you are my son. I had a daughter; she was older than you. I can remember the beginning of the conflict and the desperation to finish the plan. I also remember the pain of losing her."
Here, Sam felt lost as he saw the start of tears as they started to cascade from his mother's eyes. Taking a deep breath, Sam walked to the woman he had no memory of nor her any of him.
As he wrapped his arms around her, a tiny spark flew from him to her. Suddenly, they both were glowing, the females' eyes opening wide as clarity came to them that they hadn't held before. The longer Sam held her, the brighter the glow became.
"I have to go; I think it best if I take this to them," Sam whispered in her ear. "They will return if I don't. I've extracted all that I could of Father."
Here, Sam held up a cube.
"A memory cube!" His mother stated with awe in her voice. "You are much, much further than I initially thought you were. It would be best if you were careful; you are the only one we know of who possesses the osmosis healing. Others are out there; as you have seen, the sick, failed ones require your healing as we all are."
"I will do all that I can, Mother. Oh, I believe I transferred the full immunity to the gas to you." Sam told her
His mother's eyes widened as she checked within her. "it appears as you say, Sam. I am still sorry that I cannot recall you as my son. I am truly sorry, Sam," Triann's head dropped as she whispered. "I am so proud of all that you have done. I truly hope that my memories of you return."
Sam nodded to her as he walked to Queen Triada. "I am going to the IP home world to try and end this. Though I am afraid that there are four others besides the council." When Triada's eyes grew large, Sam nodded. "Even when I am finished with them, there is still Triot. I suspect that he might also be of the race that the council is. Then there is the one commanding them."
Queen Triada shivered a moment, then nodded. "We will do all we can to help your mother. With two of the three Triads in place fully, keeping them out shouldn't be too difficult. As your mother stated, you need to take care. You possess many abilities that no other does."
Sam nodded to her and then toward his mother. "I will do the best that I can. Unfortunately, it seems I am the only one who can stop them."
With that, Sam rose and then accelerated upward; a few moments later, he opened a wormhole, slipping in. He was headed to where he felt the IP homeworld was.
Queen Triada watched 'til Sam was out of sight, then turned toward Triann. "I truly wish that there was something that I or my people could do to help you." At that moment, two of Queen Triada's offspring ran past them, chasing each other. "Ah, to be so young, so full of promise, do you..." Triada stopped as she turned toward Triann.
A look of shock, surprise, and then pride crossed her face. "My god," she whispered almost too low for Triada to hear. "Sam, my Sam, how could I have ever forgotten you?" Then, the tears started to flow freely as she hugged herself.
Only a few moments after Sam entered the wormhole, two more wormholes opened near the planet a few million miles apart. The first to emerge was Drivas and Thallus’s ship. They had come with Randy and most of the information Sam had requested.
From the other wormhole, Mello's ship emerged. She hoped that Sam was right about everything that he told her. She'd returned to where she'd found her willing servant; she'd discovered quite a few disturbing things there.
She just hoped that she could keep up the façade of still being a nasty, self-centered Mellos. Even now, she was disgusted that she'd been as bad as she had to act.
