One More Time

You hurt me all the time and make me cry.
I lost count of how many times you told me good-bye.
Like a fool, I kept my arms opened for you.
You made me feel special, like you truly loved me.
I showed you my inner self and who I really am.
You played me and stole my fragile heart.
I saw the real you and I was shocked.
Different from who I thought, you began destroying me.
My smile, I had to force and fight back the tears.
No one knows how you hurt me, what you said.
When I'm alone, I let the tears fall freely.
No longer in control of my mind or my emotions.

One last deep breath I take slowly.
I press the cold gun barrel to my head.
The last sound I hear is you screaming "NO!" as I pull the trigger.

You grab the gun and stick it in your mouth.
For the second time, the trigger is pulled.
I am joined in death for eternity by you.
