Although I wish to keep my name the same,
by any name I still should smell as sweet,
own ancient Helen's peerless face and frame,
and full outfoot Will Shakespeare's fêted feet;
my lines would yet steal Cleo's Marc away,
trick sainted Isabella into bed,
straight titillate Titania sans one bray,
raise Romeo's rusted dagger from the dead;
plus though I lacked old Willy's bent for puns,
his playful "groaning," "country," "ass," or "hoar,"
my perky breasts, like Mistress Overdone's,
by husband nine would likewise hit the floor --
forsooth, by any name I cared to don,
my bust would loll atop the Parthenon.
