the moth and flame
2 a.m.,
the moth
drawn
to the light,
knowing
it is
suicide
to kiss
the flame,
but,
his lover
is there,
waiting,
and
the moth
flies into
the flame,
the candle
consuming him,
the moth
lay cremated
on the
ground,
his lover
wide awake,
and still
looking
for more
kisses,
from
even more
sacrificial lovers.
