Rockin' Stilettos
I was tired of walking
in my own shoes,
the pain to bare
in Heartbreak blues,
so I did what any woman
in my position would do,
I bought Stilettos
to get over you.
Couldn't rock the sweats
with these high heels,
so I went shopping,
my bare legs revealed,
a mini skirt flared,
the deal was sealed,
I loved the look
and how it made me feel.
Had to lose the t-shirt,
needed something to match,
so I picked out a sweater
with the cleavage detached,
always kept myself hidden
because of how you'd react,
but now I get attention,
men whistling, in fact.
Walking down the street,
hair blowing in the wind,
a smile upon my face,
no longer living pretend,
finally have my closure,
that chapter came to an end,
rocking these Stilettos,
this is where my story begins.
