Landmine
The hardest part of existing
is in the try
We’re forced to try
but have no real say
Point your fucking boat in rights direction
Her hopeful beaconed light
rotating, rotating, rotating
She’s a lie
A rock shored light house
with no beach
but real hope…
Real hope:
Is knowing in your bones
in the deepest of downs
That you have no control
None
So my love,
Paddle for the warmest sand
with all your might
Knowing that despite your best
you may capsize in the dark
and watch all that’s kept you afloat
panic before it drowns
but paddle anyways
Through the universes sea
and all the horror
that fills its landmines
is in the try
We’re forced to try
but have no real say
Point your fucking boat in rights direction
Her hopeful beaconed light
rotating, rotating, rotating
She’s a lie
A rock shored light house
with no beach
but real hope…
Real hope:
Is knowing in your bones
in the deepest of downs
That you have no control
None
So my love,
Paddle for the warmest sand
with all your might
Knowing that despite your best
you may capsize in the dark
and watch all that’s kept you afloat
panic before it drowns
but paddle anyways
Through the universes sea
and all the horror
that fills its landmines
