Bleeding Thoughts

Little thoughts of sadness
escape my soul
holding tightly to it I keen
It can be seen in a glance
eyes imploring connect
and wistful need is revealed

I console myself
confessions of doubt
come from deep within
A double take
and a mighty battle
between me and I

Duality of faces being
I can hear but not see
one leading, one fade
Recesses of memory guiding
tender reminder of who I once was

flood

Gentle rain quiet my pain
refrain from judging my doubt
I sing in the atmosphere
my tears blend with the sky's bleed
rolling down my cheeks

I plead
look away
and don't see my anguish

A tortured soul
adrift in loneliness
