The Fox

At dawn, the hungry fox forgets to munch,
For you, it starves, its brain in quite a crunch,
At noon, it eyes its food but can't take a bite,
Your charms have left it in quite a silly plight.

By twilight, it's a mess, a bewildered, lovesick hunch,
With a belly grumbling and a mind out to lunch,
Through sleepless nights, it's you that's in its bed,
But really, it should be eating, the fox has said.
